We came across 5kbtc, an obvious scam that claims they are involved in crypto mining activities. Instead of our previous method of review, we decided to bring you our chat with the support, which is likely manned by the fraudster owner.
The idea is to give you insight into the mind of the scammer and some of the wiles they employ to convince gullible investors to send them money.
Please take note that they wanted to know if we had registered and have probably made deposits. They also hoped to call our bluff to make the choice of deposit or not.
Interestingly, they are offering 300 percent profit from mining activity without as much knowing the model of Antminer in their possession or its hashrate.
The essence of bringing this conversation is for the investor to understand the need to research about any field they’re investing in. This would enable them identify an obvious scam.
At the end of the chat, we gave some evidence which shows that this is a scam site.
Fraudster Support: Welcome to our site, if you need help simply reply to this message, we are online and ready to help.

Cryptoinfowatch: 300 percent in 24 hours?
Fraudster Support: Yes that is for our VIP plan
Cryptoinfowatch: So I deposit $1000, how much do I get in 24 hours?
Fraudster Support: If you make an investment deposit of $1000 into our VIP plan, you are to earn 300% of your deposit after 24hrs which is $3000
Cryptoinfowatch: Sounds too good to be true. Just like fraud.
Fraud Support: A trial will convince you sir
Cryptoinfowatch: Can I get ID of the owner?
Fraud Support: Yes but this level of information is only privileged to VIP investors only
Cryptoinfowatch: What model of miner do you use?
Fraud Support: Ant-miner
Cryptoinfowatch: What is the hashrate?
Fraud Support: Which particular plan are you asking for the rate? Are you registered with us sir
Cryptoinfowatch: What’s the rate for your Antminer?
Fraud Support: What you need to know sir,is your deposit plan rate. The company limits it policy that only VIPs investors are allowed to know more about the company mining rate sir.

Cryptoinfowatch: Oh, thank you. But I really think you’re fraudsters. No worries.
Why 5kbtc is Not Reliable
We shall mention a few of the red signals that should point every investor to the fact that their deposits would be stolen if they deal with this site. Even though these are not peculiar with this particular site, it is enough evidence to keep off it.
Scam sites almost always never build their own content, but depend on content culled from other sources on the internet. Most times, these are other scam sites.
We checked sections of the 5btc content and they mostly failed basic plagiarism test.
If a site promises to pay you high profit from imaginary business, you can bet you’re dealing with a scam. As seen from the conversation above, no mining hardware has the capacity to give you 300 percent profit even in 3 months, talk less 24 hours.
The site claims that the business has been online for 1168 days. This is contrary to our findings. Whois search shows that the site was registered on April 11, 2019, so it is just 4 months old presently and not nearly 3 years old as claimed.
You can also see no evidence that the deposits and withdrawals claimed on the site is genuine. They just posted random names and figures to deceive the investor.
Name On Certificate Contradicts Web Copy
It’s a bid weird finding Divo Bit Limited on the website as the name of the company. This could be an error from the source where the content was copied from. The certificate shows 5k Services Limited.
It is practically impossible to see a scam site with a real physical address where people can go and meet them. They usually use virtual addresses if they must. This is what 5kbtc has done.
Use of Confusing Language
The About Us page of the site clearly shows the incoherence that fraudsters that want to create the impression that they are experts in an unknown field are known for.
According to SEC,
“Fraudsters often use complex new technologies to perpetrate investment schemes. They can claim their technology is highly secret. Investors should always be suspicious of hard to understand pitches that accompany promises of outsized returns. Sometimes the language includes spelling, grammar, and typographical errors that can make the description confusing – another red flag the “investment” could be a scam.”
Having the right information is the best protection against fraudsters who are increasingly targeting the cryptocurrency holders. There are regulated and legitimate investment sites that you could safely use to grow your assets.
For our top recommendation, please check here. You’ll even be guided by experts to benefit from social copying system.
