In a move described as its first venture into the football world, BitMEX has sealed a sleeve sponsorship deal with soccer club AC Milan as the club’s first-ever sleeve sponsorship deal.
This move qualifies BitMEX as an official AC Milan’s crypto trading partner. Throughout the duration of the partnership, both male and female players of AC Milan will wear jerseys carrying the BitMEX logo on their sleeves.
This partnership will also give AC Milan supporters exclusive access to the BitMEX exchange, exposing them to the increasingly popular cryptocurrency world. This partnership will help the crypto exchange promote digital financial literacy amongst soccer supporters.
This partnership comes barely one day after BitMEX have been fined to pay $100 million for flouting financial rules in the United States.
The new jersey design with the BitMEX logo will make its first public appearance in the first Milan game of the season, where they go against Sampdoria in the San Siro.
This sleeve makes BitMex the official sleeve partner of the soccer club side. According to Bitmex CEO Alexander Höptner,

He further described the club as the most progressive club highlighting that BitMex looks forward to a progressive relationship with the Rossoneri family.
The Chief Revenue Officer of the club, Casper Stylsvig stated that the partnership would help expose the fans and supporters of the club to cryptocurrencies and its investment potentials.
