Cloutbucks – Is It Taking You Where The Money Is?

Cloudbucks is one of those sites that encourage the no-work easy money which has been the bane of many investors who are eager to put in little and gain much. On a casual look, it is a surprise that there are many that take sites like this seriously yet the reason is that they are eager to make easy money. Who doesn’t?

A slide show at the upper part of the site announces that there is a $25 bonus for registration. This reminded me of earlier sites that gave out easy money to members for doing little or nothing. These participants worked hard to accumulate this virtual money but got disappointed because later on, it could not be withdrawn or the withdrawal threshold was impossible to reach.

Earn $500 Today

Another bait used to lure new participants is the impression that they could earn $500 on the day they registered. The impression created by the site is that the participant can make hundreds of dollars on the day they registered by sending out invitations through their referral links.

They promised to pay $10 for every new user invited by the member even though they could not specify how they could generate the money they are paying out. Cloutbucks is more of a viral site that has no content worth sharing except that everyone involved is interested in getting a chunk of the imaginary referral bonus.

Is This As Simple As ABC?

The impression the site creates is that it is as simple as signing up, sharing your link to cash out regular $10 commissions. Boasting quick payout and a global reach, CloutBucks claims to have 185,000 members.

Another claims made by the site is that it has paid $39.5 million in commission while being followed by 63,000 people. There are array of testimonies purportedly from satisfied members but we have serious doubts that these are genuine.

Fake Testimonies

Here’s this:

“Clout Bucks changed my life. I signed up 4 months ago and made over $25,000 in the summer. I was able to get a car for my senior year saving money for college.”

And another:

Word’s cannot explain how greatful [sic] I am for Clout Bucks. I started using this site last summer and I have made alot of money since. I used to be really stressed and now I am really comfortable with my life.”

These may seem impressive to a neophyte as far as scams are concerned but we have positively identified the Cloutbucks site as an active scam due to the following reasons:

No Real Income Generating Business

It is obvious that you do not build something with nothing. This is true for the participant and the site. There is no known income generating activity that the site is known for, so it would be foolhardy for anyone to think that they would be paid just by sending out invitation links to a site that has no commercial activity associated with it.

Harvesting Personal Data

Everyone knows that data is big business. Personal data such as names and emails are in high demand and malicious players sometimes harvest them for the purpose of selling them for cash. This could be one of the motives behind that Cloutbucks site.

The implication of this is that people who sign up with Cloutbucks could have their emails flooded with spam. It is also possible that this could be a phishing site that could result in the loss of privacy of the users.

Whatever the case, it is clear that Cloutbucks is not an honest claim because the participants will never get paid because the site isn’t really making such income.

A Ten Year Old Site Claim

Scam sites do not last up to 10 years. That was the first thought that entered my mind when I saw that Cloutbucks advertised that it has been around for 10 years. That is obviously a ploy to deceive uninformed users.

A Whois search shows that the domain was registered on May 23, 2019. This means that all the claims of paying out thousands of dollars and having thousands of followers is not true.

If you’re involved with this site, bear in mind that this is another time-wasting affair. There are better ways to earn money online than hanging around scam sites that will pay no one. In reality, no person will ever be paid with Cloutbucks. Those that claim otherwise are proxies working for the scam site.
