There are currently 23.44 million smart contracts hosted on the Ethereum blockchain. This is according to data available at CryptoQuant, an on-chain data aggregating site. The record shows that this is the number of smart contracts that have been deployed on the Ethereum blockchain.

The chart shows that smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain has continued to increase despite high gas fees and a bearish market.

On January 1, 2022, there were 21.3 million smart contracts on the network. This increased to 21.8 million by February 1, a 2.2% increase in 30 days. By March 1, there were 22.3 million contracts (2.2% increase). This increased to 22.7 million smart contracts by April 1, a 1.8% increase. By May, there was an increase of 1.3% to 23 million smart contracts.

Smart Contracts, Year To Date

Year to date, there has been an 8.9% growth in the number of smart contracts deployed on the Ethereum network.

In comparison with 2021, there were 19.7 million smart contracts on the network on June 9, 2021. This is a 16% increase in the number of contracts in the past 12 months.

A year earlier, there were 14.7 million smart contracts on the Ethereum network. This means that there has been a 37% growth in the number of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain since June 9, 2020.
