Only 2 Top Coins Are in Green Today, Only 4 Have Made Gains On The 7-Day Chart

Huobi Token (HT) is up by 1.7% on the 7-day chart. This may seem a modest gain, but it is significant, considering that HT is one of only four tokens that have made gains on the 7-day chart. Other gainers on the chart are Nexo, up by 7%, eCash, which has gained 18% and UNUS SED LEO, which has gained 5%.

Most Coins Are in Red

All the other top 100 coins and tokens are in losses compared to their values in the past 7 days. Bitcoin is down by 8% compared to its market price a week ago. In the past 24 hours, the digital currency has lost 3%.

Ethereum has lost 9% on the 7 day chart. On the 24 hour chart, it is down by 3% just like BTC.

Binance Coin (BNB) is down by 7% on the 7-day chart and has lost 2% on the 24-hour chart, while Ripple is down by 6% and 2% on the 7-day and 24-hour charts respectively.

Other Top Losers

The loss of the other top coins are as follows:

Cardano (ADA), -4% on 7-day chart and -1% on 24-hour chart.

Solana, -13% on the 7-day chart and 3% on the 24-hour chart,

Dogecoin, -11% on 7-day and -4% on the 24-hour chart.

Polkadot, -8% on the 7-day chart and -4% in 24 hours.

Polygon (MATIC), -4% on the 7-day chart and -3% in 24 hours.

Two Gainers in the Past 24 Hours

Some of the top coins that have made impressive gains in the past 24 hours are Nexo, which has gained 6% and XDC Network, which has made a modest 1%. All the other coins are in losses.

Bitcoin Price Action

Bitcoin is currently trading at $19,635 according to Coinmarketcap data. On Bitstamp, it is trading at $19,621. The coin has a market cap of $376 billion. Its 24 hour trading volume today, August 30, is $31.9 billion, according to Bitstamp data.

BTC chart

The 20-day moving average indicator on the 4H chart shows that BTC is still in a downtrend. The coin has traded at today’s price in June and July, an indication that it has been vacillating around this range for weeks. With an RSI indicator value of 34, things are not yet looking bright for BTC. Some analysts believe that the coin could drop to the $18k region in the coming days.
