Robinhood finally lists the SHIB token after months of demand from its customers and the SHIB community. This is coming after months of speculation after the platform announced that it was not ready to list the token. The recent listing on the commission-free trading app shows that other tokens listed with SHIB are Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC) and Compound (COMP).
A tweet by a crypto listing bot announced the listing on April 12, stating that it had detected the token on the Robinhood servers.
A blog post from Robinhood stated that the listing was as a result of popular demand from its customers. The release said that Robinhood customers have consistently demanded to have an array of coins to choose from.
Safety of User Funds
Steve Quirk, Chief Brokerage Officer at Robinhood also highlighted the vigorous process that the tokens pass through in a bid to ensure the safety of the funds of the users.
“As a safety-first company, we have a rigorous framework in place to help us evaluate assets for listing, and we remain committed to providing a safe and educational crypto platform.”
The update maintained that the listed assets are now available to buy and sell on Robinhood app.
