Classic Parade has announced support for cryptocurrency payments, making it the first supercar hire service to do so in the UK.
Customers of a supercar-hire service company now have the option of paying with digital currencies. This was announced by Classic Parade, the UK car rental service that serves the supercar market. A press release by the company said that the payment system would enable those who desire to rent a supercar to pay with cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether.
Impressive array of supercars
Classic Parade features some of the most impressive supercars, including the £2.4m Bugatti Chiron, which costs £200,000 a day to rent, or 220.75 ETH, or 11.696 BTC, according to the report. With offices in London, Edinburgh, and Manchester, the company is the first car rental company to introduce digital asset payment in the UK. The company’s customers would have access to a wide range of cars from its array of over 100 supercars from 28 luxury marques.
International clientele want to pay without hassles
The release said that customers can also pay with the pound sterling as usual. Speaking on the issue, the Classic Parade founder and owner, Andrew Brown, said:
“Our clientele is international and wants to be able to pay to rent our supercars without the hassle and cost of exchange rates and transfer fees.” Many of our clients have significant holdings in cryptocurrencies, so it makes sense to offer this option to them. “The transactions are immediate, and we can also take the deposits in crypto as well, and then it’s easy to return the deposit after the rental has expired as well.”
Safe, easy to use payment option
The company said that payments in digital currencies are made to its secure wallet. After it is confirmed, the customer can have the car delivered to their address in the UK or pick it up themselves at any of the company’s showrooms after signing the rental agreement. The release said that necessary steps are taken to ensure that fund transfers are made safely.
Andrew Brown said that the company checks the identity of the person who wants to hire a supercar. He said that the process becomes easier if they’re returning customers.
“We have to go through the usual identity checks needed to hire a vehicle, but these are easy to process, and it becomes much easier with every repeat transaction.” This way, we can also provide adequate “know your customer” checks. One of Classic Parade’s most popular cars for summer rentals is the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, which costs £1,100 a day to rent, or 1.21 ETH or 0.064 BTC.
Anticipating interest from crypto investors in coming months
Brown says that his company anticipates a lot of interest from crypto investors. Crypto investors are mostly young people, some of whom have made fortunes in the industry.
Andrew Brown said,
“We are expecting a great deal of interest from crypto investors in the next few months to rent out our incredible supercars.” “Many investors are relatively young and want to show their wealth, so the interest in supercars is very strong in this market.”
