Visa Processing Firm in San Jose Now Accepts Bitcoin Payment

Visa processing firm now permits its users to pay for services using Bitcoin. This was reported by local news media.

Peninsula Visa declares that its customers can now make use of Bitcoin in order to pay for its services. The benefit of this development is that now, there would be a speed-up of the US passport-acquisition process.

In as little as a month, users can now get their Visa. The company says that Bitcoin would now be an acceptable means of payment for specific passport services. Coinbase Commerce supports this payment feature.

According to Evan James, the COO of the company, this new payment method with Bitcoin seems like conferring the right to move at the right time on the customer.

“Offering travellers the ability to pay via Bitcoin feels like the right move at the right time,” he said

Even though not many governments have bought the idea of making bitcoin a payment method, it is still a positive step in the right direction. Also, private bodies and entities have declared their interest in the adoption of cryptocurrency payment forms.

The decision made by the private sector, if imitated by the government, will cause a significant shift in the global financial market than what we know now.
